Forming a band with a bunch of buddies in college can be fun and, even in the era of dying live music at bars, profitable. It can also be distracting.
Surely you’ve seen the commercials for free credit reports that used to feature a band with the curly haired lead singer. They advertised for new band, specifically a garage band, to use for their new line of commercials. You were to send in a sample of your work and they would pick a new band. And they did. So being a garage band or basement band doesn’t necessarily mean that that’s where you’re going to stay. If all you’re looking for is a little bit of a release; forming a band just for fun is great.
Be careful who hears you because you never know where the next American Idol, X Factor, The Voice or America’s Got Talent sensation will come from. In fact posting your college band’s videos on social network sites such as You Tube could actually get you an appearance on such popular TV shows as Ellen; who frequently trolls You Tube looking for entertaining videos or talented new artists.
So don’t forget: be you a songwriter, a singer, or musician; fame could be right around the next corner.
Going to college can be a very fun and exciting time, even when you are spending your time at the gym. Most of the men at the gym always want to look their very best therefore they start to lift weights. Being physically fit is extremely important during your college years.
Gaining Muscle Mass
Having a strong workout routine is a great way to build muscle mass. You always need to be sure you are lifting properly so that you do not end up injured. In injury could mean you hurt yourself and will be out of commission for a long time.
Most weightlifters are always taking a supplement to help them gain muscle mass. If you are thinking of taking HGH, then you need to read as many HGH reviews as possible. You want to be sure this special product will help you along your journey and lifting weights and gaining muscle.
Take the time to do as much research on any supplement you are taking so that you know it is effective and you are not wasting your money on a product that will not work. The more you know the better off you will be.
Apparently the student newspaper isn’t enough. That’s probably because the art of reading is almost as extinct as books themselves. If it’s not on a video it doesn’t exist. That’s why so many businesses today, or anyone else that wants to get the word out about something, are turning to video advertising.
It’s Easier To Show Someone Than To Tell Them
It’s hard to get someone to sit down and read something. It’s a lot easier to simply put it up in their face were they can’t ignore it. An advertising video is nothing more than a commercial that you can’t ignore. If you want to get your political views out, put them in a video that will attract attention and put it somewhere where no one can miss it. You Tube is a great place to post videos. Almost anything goes and it takes literally moments to set up an account so that you can post videos, edit them and even track them to see how many people are watching, whether they like your video or don’t and any comments they may make. Of course if you’re going start discussing politics, even if it applies to student politics only, expect some seriously opinionated comments.
Taking A Stand And Sticking To It
I am a child of the sixties and seventies and trust me when I tell you that student politics ran rampant back in my day. People would ask us what we were protesting and we would simply respond with “what have you got”. Of course the war in Vietnam was a huge deal and everyone protested that. Earth Day began back in the seventies with something like a 28 mile walk for which people sponsored you; you then sent the money in to an organization that was supposed to save the earth. Well the earth is still here. Mission accomplished… At least for the time being. Student newspapers were always extremely regulated by ‘the powers that be’ any ways, so you had to watch what you said (wrote) or risk being shut down by the principle or other sources of political censorship, a.k.a. Big Brother.
Considering everything else that was going on back then, I’m surprised that I remember all that!
